Dean Elgar
Dean Elgar is a South African cricketer who has made a name for himself in domestic and franchise cricket. Born on June 11, 1987, in Welkom, South Africa, Elgar is a left-handed opening batsman and a part-time spinner. Elgar began his cricketing career at a young age, playing for the Free State Under-19 team. He then went on to play for the South African Under-19 team and made his first-class debut for Free State in 2006. He showed great promise as a batsman and was soon drafted into the Knights franchise team. Elgar's performances in the domestic circuit were impressive, and he was rewarded with a call-up to the national team in 2012. Since then, Elgar has been a regular member of the South African cricket team, primarily in Test cricket.
